This song is the perfect song for Kousei’s relationship with his mother too. The love that the two of them shared with each other, and the sorrow that the both of them had gone through together. All culminating into this gut wrenchingly beautiful performance. Then leaving the viewer knowing the two of them still live on together fully in love and in sorrow.

I am borderline psychopathic. I can watch some really fucked up shit without flinching, but you know how there's some things that can move anyone? this piece of music and the story it told made me actually shed some tears for the first time in a decade. This is has become one of my comfort music pieces.

It’s 2024, I could never move on from the show. Now it’s added with an extra layer of nostalgia, since this recording specifically was one of my favourites, ever since 2020. So many things have come and gone, my life is completely different now, listening to this just reminds me of the good times I used to have as a teenager in high school. Everything is such a burden now since I’m forced to grow up and be an adult

I was going through a bad time and I was looking for a romantic comedy and I came across this wonderful piece. It wasn't funny at all but it left a beautiful mark on me. Thank you, even if you are fictional characters. I'll watch it every April and keep your memory alive.

I too had made a promise .When I was little my aunt always told me to play the piano for her but I was very shy so I went and hid.. Now I regret not having played piano for her. every time she asked me. It's been several months since she left this world and I only remember the promise she made me promise. She asked me to play "Claire de Lune" for her when I was more experienced and now I just listen to this piece and cry in front of this sweet melody. Even watching Your Lie in April I remember my aunt. My aunt is my reason for playing the piano and I gave my all for her. Thank you Chopin.
